I might be purchasing a new motherboard in a couple of weeks. I’m thinking about upgrading the CPU but need a compatible board first. X570 and B550 are nearly identical in cost. I suggest sticking with the X570 board. Even if we ignore the price difference, pairing it with an R7 5800X would make a strong setup. The X570 chipset offers extra overclocking possibilities, especially since you plan to use the 5800X.
