Hello, your current setup includes an i5-12400f and a Gigabyte B660 DS3H. You're considering moving to a 13600K but heard the motherboard might not support it. It’s wise to verify compatibility first. Whether they work together depends on the specific motherboard model you plan to use—check its supported CPU list. If you need a recommendation, a 13600K typically requires a compatible 13600K or higher motherboard. Otherwise, you might want to pick a different CPU that matches your budget and performance goals. Thanks for reaching out!

Your system can handle up to 13600K, so it should work well. I’m worried the improvement might be minimal. How do you usually use the device?

For gaming purposes, especially with titles such as CS2 and PubG, power and VRM cooling are crucial.

As Dr. Will explained, the upgrade could be minimal.

Yes, even demanding CPU-heavy titles like CS2 can run smoothly with the right settings and hardware.

The numbers indicate a significant upgrade—your comment reflects a jump from 12.6M to 13.6M, and now to 14th-gen Intel CPU. That should definitely be a visible improvement. You can review gameplay comparisons online for more insight. Does adding a 14th-gen Intel CPU fit within your budget?

It seems you're weighing options around a budget of 14,500 versus 13,600. Consider which fits your needs best—staying within range might be safer, but sticking to the higher amount could offer more flexibility.

In that scenario, it makes sense to invest the effort.

The 13600K would outperform the 14500. The 14th generation is essentially the 13th with a slight speed increase, except for the 14700K which added four extra E Cores. If the price goes up significantly, the 14th generation may not be worth it.
