Your 3570k is reaching its limits, and you're looking to squeeze out the best performance possible before a planned upgrade in about a year. I have some overclocking options that seem stable, but I'm not sure what voltage range is safe for this model. Would it be better to run it at 4.7 with the added voltage compared to 4.5, and is 1.255v safe? Also, could you tell me the general maximum safe voltage for my 3570k? Thanks for your help!

1.25v isn't suitable for Ivy Bridge. My friend has a 3770k running at 1.45v for over five years and it's still performing well. I'd say the safest voltage range is between 1.4 to 145v if you can maintain proper cooling. I found a chart, but I'm not sure how reliable it is.

The voltage of 1.25v seems fine for the Ivy Bridge, as my friend has a 3770k running at 1.45v for several years without issues. The safe range is probably between 1.4 and 145v, though I'm not certain about the chart's reliability. A 4.7ghz stable build with just 1.2v sounds a bit weak—are you sure it's stable? If so, you're lucky to have a good chip. I've been using it at [email protected] for some time now, and from other overclockers, it seems to be on the lower side.

Someone else could share their suggestions for a safe voltage limit for the 3570k.
