Your current RAM is a Geil Super Luce 8GB DDR4 2400MHz with default 2133MHz, and you need to enable XMP. You've ordered a Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 2400MHz. After installing the new RAM, you want to manage both brands' XMP profiles simultaneously. You plan to run both RAMs at 2400MHz instead of 2133MHz and wonder if you need to disable XMP before installing the new RAM.

Activate XMP through the standard method. You’ll probably need to re-enable it in either case.

Are you asking if it's necessary to turn off XMP settings when setting up a different RAM model?

You’ll probably need to turn it back on again. It’s okay to switch it off or leave it unchanged.
