Current prices for the B450+2700 offer the best value, though you might have missed out on the free MHW promotion. If you really prefer not to pay $220, consider going down to a 2600 model, but a 2700 for $150 seems more advantageous than a 2600 for $115.

It's possible the memory controller on that board wouldn't support 3200MHz RAM, causing instability. That's my guess, though I'm not certain.

Just 8 gigabytes of RAM? I’d upgrade the memory first, then look for a better CPU—it could fix your bottleneck issue right away.
