Hey everyone, I'm looking to refresh components in my system after a build from last year. My current setup includes a Ryzen 3 1200 GTX 970 with a Gigabyte A320m Crucial Ballistix 8GB stick, an EVGA 500W 80+ white PSU, a Sandisk x400 128GB SSD, and I mostly play Minecraft—so the specs might feel a bit dated. I'm planning to upgrade from the A320m to a B450m and need your advice: should I go with ASROCK B450m/AC, ASROCK B450m Steel Legend, Asus Prime B450m, MSI B450m PRO-VDH MAX, or MSI B450m PRO-M2 MAX? I can overclock, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it at these prices—maybe the GPU alone is enough. I lean toward the Steel Legend but want to double-check. Thanks!

You're using the Pro-VDH Max and are satisfied with it. Your R5 3600 isn't overclocked yet, but you believe it could benefit from this motherboard.

Additionally, you only have one stick of RAM; for a future upgrade plan, consider switching to two sticks for more performance. AMD handles dual-channel fast RAM well, offering options like 2x4GB or 2x8GB, and speeds can reach around 3000MHz or higher.

It seems the VDH-Max offers several ports: six USB connections on the back (four 3.2-pin and two 2.0-pin), plus front USB options like a 3.1 and two 2.0 connectors, four SATA 6Gbps ports, an M.2 slot, a CPU fan connector, and additional connectors for the system fan. I’m not sure about the exact layout but that’s what you described.
