If the speed matches what your house supports, it isn't ideal for working from home, especially when several people use the internet simultaneously. I’d think about upgrading your internet plan first. Who in your family sets up your home connection? Are there any restrictions or prioritization rules in place? Regarding the router, my experience shows that using different devices for the modem and router (not a single combo) usually improves network stability. Based on how your internet connects to the house, you might want to start with a budget modem/router and set it up as just a modem, while keeping your current router as a router.
