I’ve already bought an AMD 3900X and a LANCOOL II case. I assumed my motherboard was ready, but realized the (2) connections I needed weren’t there. Now I’m searching for a solid X570 board with those connections and solid VRM cooling. The Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFI) looks promising, though it’s quite pricey. Are anyone else aware of other options in that price range? Maybe you have one? I’m aiming for something between $180 and $250. There are so many choices out there—I hope someone knows about them. Thanks! The LANCOOL II case includes both of these ports. I also added the USB Type C adapter.

Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite offers USB 3.1 10GB/s port, along with AMD Ryzen 3000/X570/ATX variants and PCIe4.0 support. It runs on DDR4 and supports USB3.1, Realtek ALC1200, RGB Fusion 2.0, and M.2 thermal guard. This board excels in VRM and cooling performance, making it suitable for overclocking. Some drawbacks include a limited I/O shield (no PS/2 ports, single HDMI, no multi-monitor support), and a minimalist design with mostly black, gray, orange, and red accents. The build feels simple and functional rather than colorful or busy. I’ll update this entry later with additional options I discover.

The Gigabyte boards feature a type C connector close to the 24-pin port, with two standard USB 3.0 ports located at the base of the devices.

It was quite challenging to identify. The device was very small, resembling just capacitors and resistors on the motherboard as shown in the photos.

Additionally, if the USB 3.0 headers are positioned too high at the end, you can use affordable extension cables available on Amazon.com such as UCEC USB 3.0 Motherboard Extension Cable 20 Pin Male to Female 50cm. These are suitable for connecting peripherals or upgrading your setup.

Not sure about the length yet, but great to know that I have an option. I'm also believing that I saw some reviews on the Aorus Elite VRM thermals that was pretty decent.

Hardware Unboxed evaluated budget x570 boards and found them performing similarly to an Asus variant. The Asus model stood out only when overclocking, which was a limited test scenario. In normal conditions, Gigabyte chose a more efficient stock voltage, reducing power usage and heat generation. Asus opted for higher than necessary voltages, leading to increased power draw and warmth. When both boards were manually boosted to higher voltages, the Asus model’s heatsink performed slightly better, but Gigabyte still maintained temperatures well within acceptable limits, offering ample cooling capacity.
