I'm currently using my ISP's router, which is outdated and lacks many features. Because of space limitations from the cabling in my flat, I only have a small wall-mounted model. It doesn't fit all my needs, especially with multiple antennas that won't work here. I'm looking for suggestions that match these constraints.

Check if your device acts as both router and modem. If yes, simply switch off the built-in Wi-Fi and connect using a separate wall-mounted access point.

Usually the top choice since you can install it on a ceiling mount for improved coverage. Could you clarify your needs? For a NAS setup, I wouldn’t suggest it, as using it that way could cause internet speed drops because of heavy CPU usage.

It lacks a modem; I’m using fibre internet delivered via ethernet. The USB connection powers a Raspberry Pi Zero 2. I don’t have room for anything else besides this setup, which is better than nothing. I can’t install new cabling or hang things up elsewhere since I’m renting. I understand the location isn’t great, but I’ve worked with what’s available and face tight space issues. A secondary access point is possible, but adding more wiring would be a hassle in such a cramped area. Would you like some suggestions?
