If neither RAM fits in any slot, it might be a faulty motherboard. You could attempt using different RAM modules instead.

I'm dealing with an older Z270 motherboard and switching RAM might still take a while for the video output or POST to complete. It seems new RAM didn't reduce the memory requirement, so I should verify by testing it on another board if it's consistently showing high RAM usage.
