Yes, you're correct. Connecting a Molex to a 4-pin adapter and then linking it to the PSU and your fan works.

The concern is whether there will be sufficient power for the fans when using the splitter. I plan to link two 12V fans through the splitter to one 4-pin header, and I want to confirm if they can operate at full speed.
