I've been considering upgrading my ROG STRIX Z490-E for my i7 10700k CPU after the holidays. With the Z590-E board now available, should I switch to that model instead? Or should I stick with the Z490 as originally planned? I'm not expecting an 11th or 12th generation CPU soon, so I'm leaning toward the Z490. I'd appreciate hearing more opinions from tech-savvy friends.

I'd just do the Z490 then. If you have no plans to upgrade for 3 years, by then 11 series will be likely EOL or close to it anyways. And knowing Intel, 12/13th Gen will be yet another chipset.

What a question! The 14th generation is expected to bring LGA1769, a new socket standard.

Could be rooted in biomechanics, though 3D techniques seem more probable!
