Hi, i'm new to overclocking and would like some help if possible! here is my motherboard/psu/cpu cooler
Asus rog strix z390-F Gaming
corsair rm850w 80+gold
Noctua nh-d15 chromax black
I have watched der8auer's overclocking video but he is using the 9900k and a different motherboard. should i still follow his steps? thanks.

MCE mode with all cores running at peak 4.9 GHz turbo could generate excessive heat for the NH-D15 on a 9700K system. Check temperatures first using Intel's recommended settings—such as 1-2 cores at 4.9 GHz, 3 or 4 cores at 4.8 GHz, and 7 or 8 cores at 4.6 GHz. A build I assembled for a friend on an Asus board achieved around 68°C under load, so we avoided MCE mode unless necessary for tasks like surfing and using MS Office.
