I’m just starting out with overclocking but I’ve managed to understand most of the concepts. After several blue screens, I’ve thoroughly studied the process. I opened my BIOS (Gigabyte) and am attempting to boost the Core ratio, though it’s limited to 36x with 34x as the default. Many people have shared that i5 3570 processors can be overclocked significantly, so I’m confident it’s possible. I’ve reviewed every section of the BIOS but couldn’t find a way to increase the Ratio maximum. It seems there might be a way to unlock the overclocking options. I’ve also tried Intel’s OC software, but the same issue persists. I ran stress tests with Turbo Boost, but they don’t reach the speeds I’m aiming for. I’d really like to push closer to 4.5 GHz if it helps. Right now, testing those settings is all I’m focusing on. 😀

I solved it myself. I'm using a gigabyte B75M-D3H board that doesn't support OC, so maybe it's time for an upgrade.
