Hello, James. I'm looking for a program—ideally free or under $20—that can help create basic techno loops. You bought the Steinberg Klanghaus Loop set, but it doesn’t work in Cubase 5. Could you recommend another option that supports .vst files? Thanks!

LMMS supports both Linux and Windows, along with Freeee. It can be a bit challenging to use after using FL Studio for many years, but it gets the task done. http://lmms.sourceforge.net/download.php

FL Studio offers a smoother experience if you're willing to invest a bit more. For those on a tighter budget, there are other legitimate methods to obtain it.
