I wasn't sure where to share this since it blends PC gaming and phone accessories, but I found out the Steam Deck includes a fixed 3-foot charging cable. That would have been perfect for charging my Pixel 6 Pro, but a 3-foot cable isn't practical for bedtime use. I'm searching for options that let me reach the 45W Steam Deck charge and the 30-watt phone charge with a two-meter cable. I don't have the deck on hand right now, so I can't test it directly. Using third-party chargers makes me nervous due to unclear promises versus real manufacturer claims. I think I've decided on this solution, though I remember Samsung has experimented with proprietary charging tech before, so I'm hoping someone can verify it for my needs. Here are the links for reference:
- Phone specs: https://www.steamdeck.com/en/tech
- Deck details: https://store.google.com/ca/product/pixe...s?hl=en-GB
- Adapter page: https://www.samsung.com/ca/mobile-access...4510xbegca

I'm being honest with you. I didn’t understand what a GAN charger was, but checking an Anker One showed many reviews saying it didn’t hit 45 watts. That makes me really unsure about trying to guess which one will work. The Samsung model also comes with a 2-meter cable, which is important for me, so I’m not sure if I should go buy that instead.

GaN is gallium nitride devices. They're more compact and produce less heat compared to standard ones.
