Looking for assistance in picking a fresh keyboard?
Hi,
I'm trying a new keyboard because my old one is behaving oddly—like it types multiple times when I press a key, such as "oooo." I've already tried fixing it, so it's likely the switches are the issue. I have four keyboards saved in favorites and need your advice on which one to pick:
1. XTRFY K4 TKL RGB with Kailh red switches
2. Glorious GMMK TKL white ice edition with Gateron-brown switches
3. HyperX Alloy Origins Core with Aqua switches
4. HyperX Alloy Origins Core with Red switches
I mostly play games on my PC but also type a lot. Thanks!
Peripherals (KB, mouse, headset) and PC case are up to individual taste, no one can advise on the best option.
For instance, my top choice from the four would be the HyperX Alloy Origins Core (Red Switches).
I own various Kingston and HyperX products and consider them dependable. I favor linear switches (HyperX Red) and dislike tactile switches (HyperX Aqua).
In summary, if I had to choose among these four, I wouldn’t select any of them. I also avoid small KB sizes; I stick to full-size KBs with Cherry MX switches. (Currently using Corsair STRAFE RGB with Cherry MX Silent switches.)
This reflects my personal preference. Someone else might have a different opinion. Ultimately...
