I was assigned to update the antivirus software on multiple machines. The setup was outdated, mostly running old Pentiums, Celerons, or APUs. The IT manager used Baidu Antivirus, which I was unfamiliar with until now—it ran very heavy, especially on those systems. After several viruses went undetected, they dropped him off and asked for a change. As an intern, I suggested giving them some time, but the IT guy ended up installing a cheap Norton version—just the basic $20 one, not the pro or business edition. Quick fix needed before things get worse. TL;DR: bad antivirus, viruses present, need better protection now.

For those who can spare the cost, choose Kaspersky; otherwise, go for a free option like Avast. Malwarebytes fights malware, not viruses—don’t depend solely on it.
