Looking for advice on selecting a CPU, motherboard, RAM, and GPU?
I’m organizing your PC build for Cyberpunk 2077 at medium to high settings with smooth 45-60 FPS. You have a PSU of 550W, a 60Hz monitor, and solid input devices. Storage is a 1TB HDD right now. You’re not aiming for overclocking or extra cooling, and you won’t upgrade the system soon—though you might change your GPU within three years. Your location is India, and your budget sits between 50k and 53k INR. You’re not doing video editing or heavy programming, so you’ll focus on performance and stability.
For the CPU options:
Your total budget is the key factor in cyberpunk, especially when it comes to a solid GPU. The 1650 model won’t be very useful, you’ll need at least the 1660. The 3400g doesn’t offer much advantage over the 10400f, and the 3600 is only slightly better. It really depends on current prices and what you can afford.
Thank you for your feedback. Right now I’m focusing on securing a solid CPU that can support RTX in the future. Cyberpunk works well even at lower and medium settings. For the moment, I’ll wait for a stable purchase. (I’m also considering adding a better SSD together with the RTX and PSU.) If I pick 3600, what should I expect? (Prices will drop in January 2021 due to a major sale.) I’ve noticed Ryzen 3600 being offered around ₹17000 when the 10400f was ₹15000. There should be reductions for other models too, so a ₹55000 budget might fall between ₹48,000 and 49,000. Even a 1660 super could be available for ₹20000, and most of the options are still on Amazon. Regarding the specs in the picture—3200 MHz RAM speed seems suitable for 3600, but I’ll consider 1660 super if possible. I might switch to a more affordable GPU later, possibly with an RTX in a year, and I heard 3600 was a better choice then. I’m not criticizing your i5 choice, but if you upgrade your GPU later, will the 10400f still be adequate? If you go with i5 10400f, would you recommend a cheaper motherboard or is this the optimal setup?
