Hey everyone, I'm thinking about swapping out my old components for an i7 10700k, M.Z490-A Pro board, and more RAM. I'm planning to use it mainly for gaming and want to know if sticking to a lower RAM capacity would still work. Would this budget-friendly RAM be sufficient? Thanks!
Because the Ryzen 5000 offers better performance now, but the 10700K motherboard isn't compatible. The RAM works fine with Intel or Ryzen chips, yet using it at that speed drains power and causes overheating, similar to the 5600X under load.
I’m looking for a CPU available this holiday season, compatible with your NZXT X61 280mm AIO setup. You mentioned you’re leaning toward an i7 and haven’t found an AM4 bracket in stock yet. No need to worry—there are options coming soon that fit your needs.
It seems Ryzen 5 5600x might arrive soon. If they aren’t available before Christmas, there’s little reason to make hasty choices now. There’s still more than a month until Christmas.
I'd prefer to place the order soonest possible, ideally within the coming week.
It's better to aim for 10,600k, as it appears in the APR and 10,700k in the games.
