I'm working within a $550 budget and have a bit of extra cash to spend elsewhere. I aimed to boost my CPU's speed to around 3.9-4.1ghz by overclocking it. I considered investing in an aftermarket cooler, but I was curious whether purchasing a 120AIO would be beneficial long-term, especially since I plan to upgrade the CPU later.

4.1GHz seems unlikely even with cooling, but 3.9GHz might work. A Cryorig H7 could be a good choice. Most 120mm AIOs aren't very effective, so a strong air cooler would be better.

Most 120mm AIOs aren't very effective, so a reliable air cooler would be more practical. I would definitely pick a Cryorig H7 over a 120mm AIO any time. It would run quieter and perform better.

What do you get with the stock AMD Wraith cooler? If you haven't tried it, give it a go—it's surprisingly good and can maintain a stable 3.8 under normal conditions.
