Checked out a 9600k used for $65, a Gigabyte H370 motherboard for $55, and 2400MHz 2x8GB DDR4 at $25. Cooling works fine with existing coolers. Need more suggestions?

What scenario is this? The more recent gaming9600k faces challenges because it has just six threads. It often runs sluggishly. You can find free 8th or 9th generation i5 8400/9400 desktops nowadays.
