I need a small PC to use as an extra computer at home. It won't be for gaming, nor will it do much office work like writing or using Excel. I only want to keep this PC on my own network and never connect to the internet. Also, I don't plan on using it constantly all the time. My budget is between $300 and $400. I mainly want it to run at 1080p or 1440p resolution. Ideally, I need DDR5 memory, an NVMe hard drive, Windows 11 Pro, and a display port. The link I found on Amazon for the Beelink SER8 is $500, but since I signed up for Prime and got a $150 gift card, it should come down to around $350. Even though I think this PC might be too expensive, having more than I need is better than not having it at all. Maybe I will use it for something else later on if needed. Are there any reasons to avoid buying this model or other brands? My uncle got a Beelink mini PC years ago and he has been happy with it so far.

Which mini PC should I buy? The Ryzen 7 5825U is a good choice for basic use because it's cheaper and won't make things slow if you try to do too much. I know this might seem like too much power, but honestly, having extra isn't better than not having it at all. So maybe you've already decided?

I checked out some computers with the 5825u processor. Is this an old piece of hardware? Also, here are two links to other options: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYJDFG5...YJ5VVV&titleSource=mfvft-mt&previewDoh=1&th=1 and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRKXMKD...Q28N1NGAK&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1. I wouldn't care if they had a display port (DP), as long as the price isn't too high. Like other things, I just want something that will last for years to come.
