Looking for a PSU under 100 euros for my setup?
Hello everyone, I've set up my PC and need to swap out my old Chieftec PSU. My build includes an i5 8400 Gtx, MSI Z370 gaming rig with DDR4 3200MHz, a Cooler Master 212 CPU cooler, an SSD of 850GB EVO, and a Samsung 250GB drive. I'm trying to decide which Corsair PSU fits best. Options include the TX550M (80W Gold), RM550x (99€), TX750M (750W Gold), CX750 (750W Bronze), GIGABYTE G750H (88€), and SILENTIUMPC Supremo FM2 (750W Gold). I'm considering future-proofing and want something reliable.
Review the PSU tier list in the PSU section for a dependable power supply. All models share identical connectors and perform similar functions, making them unlikely to become outdated as long as ATX standards persist. Power supplies naturally degrade over time. They serve a distinct role compared to a CPU or motherboard.
What do you think about the longevity of the PSU Corsair TX550M? You're worried it might not last long, especially if you plan to upgrade later. The other models seem like solid options: RM550x at 99 euros, TX750M at 96 euros, CX750 at 90 euros, GIGABYTE G750H at 88 euros, and EVGA SuperNOVA at 99 euros. SILENTIUMPC Supremo FM2 Gold is around 95 euros. If the TX550M isn't on the list, you might prefer one of these alternatives.
Maybe not at all—your perspective is understandable, but costs vary widely depending on location and usage.
750w is typically used for SLI rigs and high-end overclockers. For a 600w setup, it's still powerful but might be more suited for mid-range builds or less intensive workloads.
