I’m looking to purchase a Motherboard with support for both Zen 2 and Zen 3. When the time comes, could you recommend some VRMs suitable for those architectures? I prefer not to spend too much on motherboards right now since DDR5 and newer boards are expected soon in 2021.

Yes, you're referring to Gen 2 and 3 of the PCIe standard.

Ryzen 1xxx is compatible with Zen Ryzen 2xxx, which in turn fits into Zen+ Zen3. Zen 3 won’t be available for a while—perhaps next year or so. The Zeno 3 X570 boards should handle it soon, and around 90% confidence they’ll support whatever follows. Most high-end B450 boards are likely to be able to, with about a 70% chance that they’ll back the upcoming CPU generation.

A quick note: Ryzen 2xxxG becomes Zen 3xxxG, and Zen+ builds follow. So the 2200G-2400G are all "Zen" models, while the 3200G-3400G incorporate Zen+. : ) If you want to stay ahead on a tighter budget, the MSI B450 MAX lineup is worth considering—they have larger BIOS ROMs, which could be useful when newer CPU generations arrive.

Most items with two green marks or more in the center columns are sufficiently developed, increasing the likelihood they'll perform well with upcoming Ryzen chips.

Why so unmotivated? You already have your response—just open the spreadsheet and follow @mariushm’s instructions, then choose one with two or more green marks.
