Hey! I'm searching for a new laptop and have faced some challenges in finding one that fits my needs. I've gathered a few preferences but can't pinpoint exactly what to settle on. Here are the details:

- Budget: $1700
- Preferred notebook size: 14'' (too big for a student)
- Screen resolution: 2560x1440 or higher (needed for editing .raw photos)
- Portable or desktop? Portable is ideal for university and photo editing tasks
- Battery life: At least 5-6 hours for university use
- Game playback? No, I don’t play games
- Additional tasks: Photo/video editing, Adobe software (Lightroom, Photoshop), etc.
- Storage: At least 1 TB or more; my image library is large
- Preferred brands: Avoid Apple; considering Dell XPS, Asus Zenbooks, ThinkPad X13 Gen 4
- Country: Denmark
- Any specific sites to buy from? Please share links
- Preferred optical drive: DVD ROM/Writer, Bluray ROM/Writer, etc. (None)
- Time frame: I’d like to keep it for about 4 years
- RAM: Around 32 GB recommended
- Storage size: Minimum 1 TB
- Size preference: Not too large

I’m unsure if I can meet all these requirements with this budget and would appreciate suggestions on what to compromise on. Could you help me find some suitable options? Thanks!

Uncertain about availability in your area, but other options exist.

Unfortunately, the resolution is only 1920x1080, which might not be sufficient for editing. Thanks for understanding.

I would purchase the Dell XPS 13 Plus. This device features a stunning 14-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3456 x 2160, perfect for refining your RAW photographs.
It runs on an Intel Core i7-1280P chip and includes 32GB of RAM, offering strong performance for photo editing tasks.
Storage is provided by a 1TB SSD, giving ample room for your image collection. Battery life is remarkable, lasting up to 15 hours on one charge!
The only drawback is its higher price point.
If you need alternatives, a model with fewer RAM options could work, but 32GB remains suitable for photo editing.
