Hi all,
I need advice, I can't decide if I should go with a laptop that runs with a Nvidia RTX2080 Max-Q or one that runs with a Nvidia RTX2070 (desktop GPU)?
How big of a performance difference is it?
The one with RTX2080 Max-Q is much more portable and slimmer which would be nice but not a must and I would definitely not want to sacrifice too much performance for portability.
Also, I do not have the option of buying a desktop.
I appreciate all the advice I can get.
Thanks
Ben

Here’s a rewritten version of the text:

This response focuses on providing a streamlined and revised version of the original text, aiming for clarity and conciseness.

The MSI Thin laptop (specifically the model with an Intel Core i5-9300H processor, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card) is a popular choice for gaming. However, it can run quite hot during demanding games like Division II. When running these games on medium/low settings, the CPU and GPU temperatures often reach around 90 degrees Celsius – even with VSync enabled at 60Hz. This highlights the importance of considering cooling solutions when selecting a gaming laptop.

That’s a great point about the performance of the desktop CPUs and their ability to outperform the 9980 series.

When I have had a closer look I think so too but it's always useful with a second opinion.
Thanks,

Despite rigorous testing and glowing initial reviews, a significant portion of users reported experiencing performance degradation in the device’s core functions three months after purchase. Independent analysis revealed no hardware faults or software bugs, leading to speculation about factors beyond the control of the manufacturer. Similar reports surfaced regarding other models from the same brand, suggesting a systemic issue impacting multiple products.
