I've checked under rocks, rummaged through boats, inspected tree coconuts, explored space, EVEN the Earth—EVERYWHERE!!! In search of a motherboard. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/8nTCMb I’ve been trying to find one that matches my requirements. It needs good RGB compatibility with my RAM and CPU, plus two SSD slots. Any suggestions from past builds or boards you’ve heard about? Just need recommendations, no full search unless you want more help. Thanks!

I believe you meant to specify the components, but I didn't see them listed. Could you provide details about the CPU, RAM setup, and form factor?

You're looking at how much you're comfortable investing and what makes a board look appealing. There are many quality options available, but the MSI B660M-A Pro and B660-A Pro are strong choices—just one is designed for MATX builds while the other fits ATX systems. Appeal comes down to personal preference. Boards with built-in RGB lighting tend to stand out, but they often exceed what most mid-range motherboards can handle for that CPU model. Spending more on a motherboard than the CPU usually isn't wise unless you're taking advantage of a special promotion or need advanced features like Thunderbolt support. The ASRock Z690 Extreme is a solid alternative, though it doesn’t impress me much compared to other options. The B660 Gaming X offers a slightly lower price point if you don’t mind the Z690 platform.

It doesn't work with my CPU, but it seems okay otherwise.

This motherboard should work well with your components. It offers strong performance for gaming titles such as Warzone and other high-demand games. If you prefer a more budget-friendly option, consider the MSI MPG Z690 Edge WiFi DDR4 instead.

You obtained the part from a retailer or online store that sells motherboards.

The B660-A is largely identical to the Tomahawk, just with lower specs, less thermal armor, and a lower price. Still, it includes everything you need. That claim is misleading.

1) The B660 was designed exclusively for the 12th Gen.
2) The BIOS version referenced is the initial release in 2021, meaning no older versions exist.
