This situation likely involves DSL or Fiber. If the connection is slow, it’s probably DSL. For issues with the link or speed, you have limited options—adding your own router or AP usually won’t help. Concerning WiFi specifically, check with Moca if coax is installed around your home. Moca supports coax for networking, offering speeds close to gigabit levels. I wouldn’t recommend it here. I’m aware AT&T hasn’t maintained their copper network well, resulting in few available phone lines for DSL. Many areas have restricted options, and I’ve heard tech companies sometimes disconnect users to install internet in new homes. That’s a serious problem. AT&T doesn’t appear to be prioritizing this either.
