I'm searching for a game with dynamic movement (parkour, freerunning) that offers fluidity, skill, and a solid challenge—something beyond Assassin's Creed. Preferably an open-world experience, ideally awaiting the new Mirror’s Edge. I also want a space exploration title that feels calm and peaceful, letting you glide across planets and enjoy the scenery. A serene vibe is key, similar to No Man’s Sky. Lastly, I’d love a RPG in the style of The Witcher series—played all games, read every book, and now wearing a wolf’s head medallion. You want smooth real-time combat, engaging mechanics, and a compelling story. Anything that comes to mind?
Dying light sounds promising. I have roughly 20 hours left and just finished the campaign, though there are still many side quests remaining. I’m about to begin The Following DLC, which is now part of the enhanced game purchase. It doesn’t require space travel and isn’t overly easy, so it’s not as calm as it sounds—but it’s quite enjoyable and includes some of the features you’re after.
I tried it a few months back during a free weekend. It was quite enjoyable, and based on what I know, it has received several major updates since then. I might consider purchasing it to check out the changes.
Well then, my dreams of space travel are now immersive experiences. But one thing to consider—is entering a planet's atmosphere involves unique effects, not just a simple drop?
It remains in beta (or possibly alpha), meaning there’s no air resistance, but gravity gets stronger near a planet.
