Looking for a FPS counter?
You can locate FPS counters by searching online for popular ones, checking game store websites, or using browser extensions that display performance stats. Many developers offer downloadable tools or apps specifically for tracking frame rates during gameplay.
Some games have the option for performance metrics like DOOM (2016) and DOOM:Eternal. For everything else, get MSI After burner, and be sure to also install RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS). They're usually bundled together. RTSS can also work with Hwinfo. Be wary of fake links to MSI After burner. Might be better to navigate to MSI's website first to find it instead of google searching it. ETA: When setting up RTSS, do not close it when finished. Minimize it. This is a bit of a common mistake. Based on your location, you might not need to download anything. Steam includes a pre-built version. After launching the game, press shift plus tab and locate it via settings in the bottom menu or in-game tab. With GeForce Experience installed (for NVIDIA GPUs), using alt plus z in-game displays FPS and additional details through the HUD.
Supports every graphics card. I use afterburner with my gigabyte card.
Formerly, "fraps" appeared as the yellow numbers in the top left corner. I'm not sure if anyone still uses it today.
