Looking for a CPU and motherboard?

It's clear it's time to upgrade, as prices for 3080s have dropped around $2000 CAD lately. The 7700k is likely to become a bottleneck. Should I choose an i7 or i9? I have 32GB at 3000 MHz Intel fans—no need to be a gamer or tweaker. Is a $1500 CAD budget realistic for a decent build?

Looks great, considering you already own a solid cooler. (Kraken X62) Skipping the newer i7-11700K seems sensible.

Only the 10th generation appears to receive a better response compared to the 11th, according to my observations. The variations are minor when considering additional costs.
