That wasn't the question. GOG.com, or any other list doesn't really provide help if you don't know the name of the game. Initial thought was something like Doom, but 2000s is bit before I got into gaming myself.

Top shooter from the 2000s. If not, check out the Wikipedia zombie game list—it’s a handy reference. Sorting by year usually narrows it down to fewer titles.
