If you complete Metro 2033 four times, does that count? Last light and Titanfall 2 follow a similar pattern. Halo 1-3, Dewrito Rainbow Six Siege, Vegas 2 Call of Duty through Black Ops 2, Minecraft Counter-Strike: A Rogue Activity, Skyrim Fallout 3, New Vegas Dawn of War, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade World of Warcraft Command & Conquer, Generals. Spore, Garry’s Mod. (It included DayZ and Minecraft before those became popular. RP servers used to be much better because there were no rules and admins weren’t concerned. Zombie survival, 30-player HL2 co-op, sandbox communities. Now it’s all “FAIL RP! RDM!” I rarely play PC games longer than 40 hours. I usually play them 6–20 and 20 feels like a lot for me.)

Completely missed the Skyrim Legendary Edition. It bundles the original game, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn together. Plus it adds cool features like combat cameras, mounted combat, a hardcore difficulty mode, and skills that let you unlock every perk and boost your abilities endlessly. Definitely not another version of Skyrim.

Here are some games not previously discussed: Starcraft 2 AoE, Rimworld, Path of Exile, Fallout 1 & 2, Portal. I also concur with those who mentioned: WarThunder Skyrim Fallout 3, and Aion Dawn of War: Dark Crusade on NV & 4.

I've spent a lot of time on these long sessions: Minecraft, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Brawl and 4, Mario Kart Wii, Black Ops 2, Black Ops (original), most Pokemon games before generation 7, Skyrim, Sonic Generations, Insaniquarium Deluxe, and even Zapper. It's around 30 hours for Skyrim, but I thought it was worth mentioning since the game feels like I played it excessively. Including past sessions would easily exceed 40 hours. Plus, I enjoyed playing Medal of Honor Allied Assault online until the end. Don't let anyone disrespect Skyrim on Alexa!

Have you accumulated over 40 hours across the games you’ve played? Did you accidentally omit any from the list?

The Witcher 2 offered a different experience compared to The Witcher 3, while each game has its own unique strengths. Lore refers to the background stories and details woven throughout a game's world. It can be challenging to grasp fully, especially with new players. Strategy in these titles often comes from extensive playtime and learning patterns. Many players find enjoyment in the gradual discovery process. The series emphasizes immersion through rich environments and character development. Learning curves vary, but consistent engagement is key. Tutorials or guided elements help ease newcomers into complex systems. Graphics and detail are praised, though they can be demanding. Complexity in strategy games often requires patience and practice. Motivation comes from clear objectives, compelling narratives, and satisfying progression.

I prepared myself with trailers for a week before diving into the games. The vibe and post-apocalyptic setting really struck me once I paid attention to the details and explored thoroughly. The story flows smoothly, and the world feels genuine if you notice every nuance. The campaign keeps you in non-stop action. Spoiler alert: Level 0 is a tutorial race, Level 1 is a generic invasion, Level 2 brings a giant warrior, Level 3 lets you encounter a titan, Level 4 feels like a high-stakes skirmish, Level 5 involves battling titans together, Level 6 is a massive factory-style showdown, Level 7 is an epic space battle across ships, and Level 8 wraps up with a colossal clash. It’s all intense and impressive. I remember the original release in 2005, followed by Winter Assault and Dark Crusade. The original had a solid campaign alongside its fun gameplay. Winter Assault is challenging yet enjoyable, adding the Imperial Guard as a new playable element. Dark Crusade stands out as the best version of its kind. For every game I mentioned except Soulstorm, you should focus on the campaigns. Skirmish remains a great experience too. Thanks! Also... fixed *XD*

Steam offers a variety of titles including Star Trek Online, 7 Days to Die, Clicker Heroes, and many others. The platform features games like StarMade, Left 4 Dead 2, and several expansions such as Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. It also supports titles like Guild Wars 2, Red Alert 1 & 2, Tiberian Sun, Tiberium Wars, and more. Many entries are lengthy, often exceeding 40 hours, especially when played without distractions. This length helps assess quality but doesn't always reflect the best experiences, as some games excel in campaigns despite shorter playtimes. Titles like Forza Horizon 3 and Diablo 2 round out the list.
