Hey there, I attempted to set up LogMeIn Hamachi for us to play Risk of Rain, Terraria, and Minecraft together. When I tried to log in, it kept saying it couldn't connect to the LogMeIn login service. Anyone have any suggestions or alternatives? Thanks!

Avoid using that tool—it’s problematic and poses serious security risks. Consider setting up your own Minecraft server in a more reliable way.

Set up port forwarding on your router, obtain a DNS address for your IP, and share it with others.

No need for DNS if they're already trusted

Sure, just skip the DNS stuff if you're sure about the people you're dealing with. If you can't rely on your IP address, go with no IP.

I don’t have a specific tutorial, but you can find helpful guides online or on platforms like YouTube.

This website is excellent. Just install the Server client, verify your ports are properly redirected to 25565 (the standard Minecraft port), and if you're comfortable sharing your IP with friends, they can receive it. Otherwise, you can use a free DNS service like no-ip for that purpose.

Is it working properly? Would it be okay to discuss the safety concerns about changing your traffic flow? Particularly regarding its regular encryption and data compression methods.
