Hello, my name is Jamey I've been using a Logitech Z323 system for two years now. The issue is with the speakers. I'm experiencing a crackling sound when increasing the volume, and the audio fluctuates in and out. I also notice a humming noise coming from the woofer. I'm really hoping I don't need to replace the speaker setup, as I'm unsure where to start. Anyone else who has this model is aware of what I'm facing? This is the second unit I purchased. My husband connected everything he knows, but I just want to enjoy YouTube without any interruptions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Takerswoman69

These appear to be of poor quality and prone to failure. I suggest reducing the volume output on the PC to 50% or less and check for any hum or crackling when adjusting. If you still notice these issues, it may indicate the device is nearing the end of its life compared to newer models. I don’t usually recommend these because they have a short lifespan.

I received what you paid for. Honestly, they work well for the cost. My have been functioning strong for about 12 years now, but I’ve had to downgrade them to kitchen TV speakers. The static is probably coming from the cable or the connection. Start by rotating the cables to check if a different position helps. Also, static will appear if you crank up an empty signal. Try lowering the speaker volume and boosting the PC volume instead. My never reached more than half.

Wow, Logitech is still offering the Z323? I remember having those speakers in my college dorm back in 2012.

does it produce a crackling sound when adjusting the volume on the speaker or pc? if it does when turning the volume knob, it might need electrical cleaning of the potentiometer. though it could be tricky to reach. over time, all analog volume knobs tend to develop this problem due to dust and surface buildup. my z906 experienced a humming and crackling issue with 3.5mm jacks because of a grounding fault in my building's electrical system. i’m currently using the SPDIF/fiber and it still delivers great sound quality.

It's the volume control. I've been shaking it for three years now.

If it ain't broken, fix it. The audio system has been designed for years, so performance stays consistent unless things wear out. The new Z323 models are unfortunately less refined than the ones from the 2010s, and they even have a different sound. It's a shame since the older models were a solid, affordable starting point.
