There was a sudden issue with logging into Steam, and the system suggested checking the connection. It seems everything is functioning properly now, but nothing has changed. You're able to access the website but not the app. Someone might have resolved the problem there.

There might be some problems with the Steam servers. Also, only Steam Support can assist you.

The problem might be related to DNS settings. Once I connected through the VPN, everything worked smoothly.

Steam has been consistently affecting my service lately... A router reset didn’t help much—only about half the time. It usually recovers within an hour, but this year it’s happened around 30 times. Recently it stopped working entirely, leaving me with only brief 5-minute outages on Mondays and Tuesdays. It looks like they’ve moved on to other issues now.

I thought I was being a bit crazy. I've restarted both the modem and router, tried linking the modem to the second Ethernet port to force a fresh IP, cleared the DNS, and even changed the Ethernet cables thinking one was faulty.

The problem was resolved by changing the DNS provider from Cloud Flare to OpenDNS, and it now functions properly.
