Locating a cooling pad can be quite challenging!
Finding a suitable solution for cooling my laptop is proving quite challenging. Everyone seems to have different advice. I've searched extensively and ended up here. It might be a difficult task, but do you know any effective laptop coolers that are slim and lightweight?
Like Middcore said, Cooling Pads generally don't provide much actual cooling and they are usually a waste of money. If you can, position your laptop so that it gets as much airflow as possible. If it's older, blow out the dust and possible reapply thermal paste if possible. Beyond that there isn't much to be done.
Consider expanding your idea of a cooling pad. I once used one as a "cooling pad" for a laptop that struggled with heat during heavy use, achieving a significant temperature reduction. It wasn’t the most convenient option, but it worked in that situation.
I've used several laptops over time, and a cooling pad offered little benefit. The most effective method was placing the machine on a stand, taking off the bottom chassis, and allowing airflow. This typically reduced temperatures by about 5°C for both the CPU and GPU. Adding small fans directed at the heat sinks provided an extra 3-5°C drop.
I recently purchased a random Chinese one for $15. It helps my laptop run about 10°C cooler—no big deal, just took a minute to order. That’s helpful, but a cooler also does the same. Adding four fans (as recommended) makes it run twice as cool. In my case, the difference between throttling and not throttling is clear, especially at high ambient temperatures! Spoiler: Italy, the attic, 35°C, MONSTER HUNTER WORLD ONLINE AT 42FPS! It’s unbelievable without my trusty Chinese cooler! Haha, I love it!
To get a cooling effect you need a dock with thickness, otherwise it won't work well. See this link: https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Alumi...9744&psc=1
