Afternoon everyone, my primary PC has been a bit slow lately, especially after installing Windows 10 for a few months now. It’s time to fully switch to Mint. I’m using it on my laptop and it works perfectly, but my main worry is the NAS/server. I have an affordable Optiplex that handles both as a NAS and Minecraft server with Parsec for WoW. It’s not huge, but I don’t like having to manually set favorites each time I boot up to reconnect to the network share. The issue is whether there’s a better automated storage solution. I really don’t want to replace my current Optiplex just because it works fine and Wow isn’t officially supported. I’d like to keep using Mint on my main desktop but make the network storage more hands-off. Is that feasible?

Add the network share to fstab for automatic mounting at startup.

There are no clear guides that explain everything with crayon, but you might find simple visual notes helpful.
