I recently returned to Ubuntu after using Windows for some time, mainly due to the lack of Google Drive Stream on Linux. While working on a blender project, I compared rendering speeds and found it significantly faster than on Windows. I wanted to share the CPU-only benchmarks. It's really impressive! As someone who develops or animates, I have limited understanding of how Windows interacts with hardware.

I refer to connecting a physical drive or storage device to a computer so it can access files stored in Google Drive.

It's been happening since the introduction of the Threadripper. Linux handles CPU scheduling quite differently and performs much better in terms of speed. Windows has made significant improvements, but the gap used to be much larger.

For G-suite, there isn't a native support on Linux. Third-party options work poorly with sync, read, and write operations. I moved to Dropbox after returning to Ubuntu.
