Linux faces major drawbacks such as limited flash support and outdated graphics support. Most popular applications are designed exclusively for Windows, with many games not available. Performance improvements often sound exaggerated. Linux runs more efficiently as an operating system, uses less memory, requires fewer drivers, and offers superior RAM management compared to Windows.

The claim about Linux achieving higher FPS in games compared to Windows is sometimes accurate, especially for native titles like CS: GO and DOTA 2. For games designed exclusively for Windows, using Wine can be challenging and often results in poor performance. Newer titles that demand dx11 (such as Witcher 3 and GTA V) are not yet available and remain unavailable. Many older games still run, though with some issues, and their performance is generally comparable to Windows. Graphical problems and other bugs are common. Popular MMOs using third-party tools like HackShield, GameGuard, XignCode, and XTrap frequently fail or may stop working soon. Wine has been improving rapidly in recent months, so these situations could change soon—or at least I hope they will.
