Recently in one of my classes we focused on Linux, specifically Linux Mint. Not having used this system before, I was intrigued and chose to purchase a budget hard drive and a $40 Craptop from Goodwill so I could get started. The setup felt very user-friendly, and I managed to locate most functions easily. However, its size and portability make it more suited for simple tasks like homework rather than heavy use. I also streamed Steam from my main PC to a projector in the bedroom to watch Skyrim. What programs or activities would be worth exploring given its limitations as a roughly 10-year-old netbook?

Get familiar with the terminal, focusing on APT (with Mint installed), GNU Coreutils, and SSH for remote PC control. Linuxjourney is a helpful guide for learning Linux. I rely on Linux as my main OS, so feel free to ask more if you need details.
