I've been trying Elementary for a few days and it's really working well for me. Definitely better than Windows 10. Sorry, mate_mate91, I just don't like the appearance of Manjaro. I'm more comfortable with Macs than PCs. The color scheme doesn't look great to me. Thanks for the tips, but everyone has their own style. The XP version crashed, so I've stopped using it. But the Win7 Dell feels fresh with Elementary. It starts quickly and runs smoothly. I sometimes switch between Windows 7 and Elementary, and Elementary is consistently faster. I'm planning to try Mint and Ubuntu Studio on my Mac Pro later. I'm having fun exploring Elementary right now.

MacPup? Puppy? Bodhi? Hey newbie, if you're not using Ubuntu, Mint or Elementary—those are the simple ones! Puppy focuses on being lightweight before becoming user-friendly, while Bodhi is... well, a bit too early for some folks.

Someone looking for a lightweight setup with minimal dependencies can handle running microwatts without running into issues. It’s nearly as simple as you’d like. A 32 should work even on older systems like an Athlon Classic. The main downside is the update process is quite slow. Otherwise, the distribution is solid and reliable.

Not suitable for beginners. Setting up Spotify on Manjaro can be challenging if you're new to Linux.
