It's using Rufus version 3.1. I turned off Secure Boot on my Lenovo G5080. This is my first attempt to boot Linux straight onto the laptop.

The issue centers on identifying exactly what part of the system is causing the problem. We need to clarify whether the error originates from the BIOS, the boot loader, or another component. Understanding when the failure occurs helps pinpoint the root cause. Have you considered using Fedora as an alternative, since it might boot even with secure boot enabled? If that doesn’t resolve the issue, it could indicate a different problem altogether.
