Looking for a simple method to install a Linux distribution and connect it to a Windows domain. I haven’t seen recent guidance on this. My older desktop works as a file server, but Windows 10 feels too demanding on my hardware. I want better reliability without spending much on a Windows license, which is why I’m considering Linux.

It sounds like you're feeling overwhelmed by the situation. Trying to stay calm and focus on what works best would help.

It seems like the transition won't be straightforward. I'll check it out.

You're definitely not handling three UPS systems at once.
