Only Vulkan ensures Linux gamers achieve stable DirectX12 performance. The OpenGL ecosystem seems unlikely to improve soon. AMD's reluctance to enhance support has been a significant setback.
AMD is closing the gap with the FPS in Metro, now just three points behind, while Valve's titles perform well but remain a bit laggy compared to Nvidia.
AMD might run, but when you look at its DirectX performance versus the Windows version of the same game, its OpenGL seems quite lacking.
On Metro I directly compared it to Windows! The same goes for Valve's games—some need a rename like HL2_Linux to achieve proper optimizations, which is what's missing for most Linux versions right now... They're essentially the same, though a few AAA titles seem almost unplayable.
