I installed mesa-opencl-icd and everything functioned properly afterward. Details can also be checked using Clinfo. That should suffice.

It's interesting you found this package. It seems likely it will help you as well, though I noticed a problem in Blender that led me to search online and recommend GPU-Pro.

Well, you won't lose much if you give it a shot and it doesn't work. Since the proprietary drivers are already installed, it might not be worth it beyond fulfilling your curiosity. If you decide to try, feel free to let me know so I can satisfy my own interest.

I was thinking about whether to try it out. The GPU-Pro driver has a convenient uninstall script, which should make testing quick. I plan to give it a shot after taking my dog for a walk. Knowing this ahead of time could save me time later.
