I suspect the only working bios would match an Intel motherboard that was also discarded. If such a board exists, you might be able to obtain it and run the GPU with it. For drivers, Linux could be a better option. (I just rewatched this video now) I’m also hoping LMG notices this post.

they probably will if enough conversation is stirred. interesting concept. And I do agree that there is a chance the drivers may work better with Linux

It might be feasible for any intel motherboard to function. Perhaps they relied solely on drivers present in the system's BIOS. Using a motherboard designed for that era could also ensure compatibility.

some motherboards from about a year ago should likely be fine if you're starting to look into the GPU. Just don't rely too much on specific details.

It makes sense. In the clip, Linus employs a contemporary board, so I guess if he had used a vintage one it would have helped. (Plus, it needs to be from Intel.)
