Linksys Velop offers Ethernet connectivity solutions for backhaul networks.
I've configured a couple of Linksys Velop nodes in my home and the one next door. I've been attempting to hardwire a few of them during my free time to boost the signal. My desktop is also hardwired to the main node via a pair of switches. Refer to the attached image for more information. My issue is understanding why the app indicates that my desktop connects to the child node when I link it to the main switch directly. It doesn't show whether the child uses Ethernet for backhaul. Linksys says their AC2200 model supports Ethernet backhaul, but their site doesn't clarify how to verify it or if a switch is needed between parent and child nodes. In contrast, Netgear's premium Orbi model clearly states that a switch can be used in between. When I took the child node out, the app confirmed my desktop is linked to the parent through Ethernet.
