I recently purchased a dongle and am facing issues linking two external monitors to my laptop using it. The laptop is a 13" HP Envy with an 11th gen i7-1165g7 and Nvidia MX450. When I connect the monitors, they appear to be using Iris Xe Graphics. I need to switch them to support the MX450, as the monitors are lagging and sometimes black out during video playback. Can you help? Please advise on the correct setup. Also, here’s how the Nvidia control panel appears.

The system cannot proceed. All displays are linked to the iGPU, and the dGPU is only connected via PCIe. Display data must always pass through the iGPU.

Consider options to fix the issues or opt for full NVIDIA control.

I also have a laptop with 1165G7 and use a DL adapter. The same issue occurs, likely connected to the dock. Regarding your "lag" concerns, try updating the drivers for the iGPU and Nvidia card. Remove the drivers you have installed using DDU, then reinstall the new ones while offline. Observe the results.

Sorry, I don't understand what DDU means. I already looked for driver updates, and they show as up to date.

It helps remove every setting tied to drivers and begins with a clean slate.
